There is no shortage of activities in the area surrounding Pikedale Lodge. If you're looking for a day adventure a drive to the Itasca State Park will definately be memorable. We are happy to point our guests to the spots they're looking for.
Golf Courses - Try a round on some of the most natural scenic courses in Minnesota.
Wilderness Trail Golf - 18 hole (5 miles)

Itasca State Park - Established in 1891, Itasca State Park is Minnesota's oldest park. Today, the park totals more than 32,000 acres and includes more than 100 lakes. Walk across the mighty Mississippi as it starts its winding journey 2,552 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. Explore Wilderness Drive past the 2,000-acre Wilderness Sanctuary, one of Minnesota's seven National Natural Landmarks.
Trails - Hundred of miles of trails can be explored in the area including The Paul Bunyan Trail and Heartland Trail, which intersect in Walker. The Chippewa National Forest has maps available for their scenic nature trails. (20 miles)
Restaurants and Shops - Several unique shops and restaurants in the Longville and Walker area.
Turtle Races - The famous Longville turtle races have been enjoyed by all ages for the last 38 years. Food, games and even a hoola-hoop contest. Every Wednesday afternoon from June thru August on main street in Longville. (13 miles)
Moondance Jam - The largest classic rock festival in the nation held July 15th-17th (www.moondancejam.com) Or if country is your thing check out Jammin Country held June 17th-19th (www.jammincountry.com). (10 miles)
